We’ve spent this year educating readers on the core processes in manufacturing – how they go right and wrong, how you can track what’s causing them and what you can do to solve them. If you haven’t noticed, we’re really passionate about manufacturing and the people who do it. We built our entire corporate purpose and mission around them.
Our purpose is to help manufacturers make things better. That’s a tough job. Manufacturers generally are doing as well as they can with the processes that they’ve established. Where those are on paper or kept in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), this is a tall order. It’s really hard to manage a shop floor with all its movements using paper. We use a consultative sales and delivery process that keeps you focused on your top issues and how to solve them and the tools to manage everything that’s moving well (and not) on your shop floor.
Our mission is focused on you as well. We believe that:
every manufacturer, regardless of size or industry, should be able to afford tools that increase capacity, efficiency and accuracy in the production process.
This is really important to us because it means that we need to structure our product and our pricing to make it both affordable and easy enough to implement for those with an entire suite of IT professionals down to those shops that outsource that role to a single individual.
We hope that you are able to make your targets in 2022. We hope those are larger than last year and that you’ve been able to do it smoothly and profitably with all the challenges that come with manufacturing post-COVID, including worker shortages and supply chain disruptions. We hope that you recognize your team today (heck, every day) for the work they do and how hard they work at it. Manual labor is hard labor. The growth of our economy and our country is built on manufacturing and the people that do it. Set a bold goal and reward them for reaching it. Give them the tools they need to do their work – whatever that looks like for you – and then give them positive feedback on the metrics they’ve met.
